Dr. Eason frequently refers out for lab work including specialty testing and blood work. Dr. Eason frequently sends his patient out for diagnostic imaging including, but not limited to, MRI’s, CT’s, X-Ray’s, EKG’s, Echocardiograms, Endoscopies, and other specialized studies frequent to conventional medicine.

While Dr. Eason does except referrals, he also requires a free 15-30 minute consultation to make sure the patient is a good candidate for care. He does this to understand the patients condition and make a decision on whether or not he feels he can help them or if they need an additional referral. Dr. Eason has a large referral network in the greater Tennessee area.

Dr. Eason is a functional medicine practitioner. Functional medicine practitioners try to first determine why the body is not functioning properly. They do this by using the patient’s unique history as a guide, by the use of advanced lab testing, and a deep dive into a patient’s overall lifestyle. Treatment often involves nutritional and lifestyle alterations, counseling (emotional and/or nutritional, if necessary), a combination of natural agents such as herbs, homeopathics, and supplements, and medication, if needed.
